So, only one post in all of 2009 and it was mostly just a hardcore "fuck you" to Kamen Rider Decade. Yeah, i'm awesome like that. But, who cares. I talk to most of you on other sites, like Facebook and Myspace. There are also some of you I chat with on Xbox Live ( Read more... )

Flea is great, I like his stuff because it's very funky sounding. My main inspiration is John Myung from Dream Theater. He's only one of two bassist that play a six string bass, and it's epic. Here's a few youtube videos of some of their work, they play a combination of styles, and I love every one of them:

The first URL is one of my favorite songs by them, The Dark Eternal Night, and is off of their 2007 album, Systematic Chaos.

The second URL is from the same album, and is called Forsaken. The Anime is not fan made, thats the official video they had made for it. They're fans of anime, and even have some of their music in some of the American soundtracks for Dragonball Z (More specifically, the song they did called Through Her Eyes was used in the History of Trunks).

The third URL is from their latest album, Black Clouds and Silver Linings, and is called Wither.

I love their stuff, check 'em out if you can. I'm probably gonna stick with Bass, and later on pick up Guitar, too.

I was very much so looking forward to RE5, but the demo really turned me off from it. The controls didn't improve at all, in fact, they got worse from 4, so I decided to pass on it. If I get bored, I may look up the plot or youtube the fmvs and cgis, but I honestly have no want to play it.

Yes, I will try to keep these coming. Do you have an Xbox 360 or a PS3?

Either way, let me recommend the first Bioshock to you. The game is a bit old now, but its bargain priced now. Such an epic game, it just sucks you right in to the story. I'll admit this to you, nee-chan, I got the happy ending in that game (there are two based on choices), and I was so happy I cried a bit. Excellent game, and the second one did not disappoint me, either.

Ohhhhh yeah. I'm very familiar with Dream Theatre. They've been a favourite of mine for a while now. I think my favourite song is 'Stream of Conciousness'. Didn't know they played for DBZ?? That's awesome, because I loved a lot of the rifts on DBZ. It's part of what made the anime so damn awesome.

I've got an Xbox 360 Elite. (From Nigel for an Xmas present.) I don't have it on live though, but I should probably get my arse around to it. Bioshock hmm...? Will have to give it a try.

By the way good luck with Bass!!! I got into guitar after bass as well. Used to learn a lot of the tabs to Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Jimi Hendrix, etc. Looooved it.

Actually, nee-chan, you can get Live free for a Silver account. It doesn't really allow you to play online with others, but it does allow you to chat with them and stuff, plus it gives you access to game updates and download content. It's free, so check it out.

Yes, I absolutely love Dream Theater. Been a fan for years now. John Myung is absolutely an amazing bassist. The only other bassist I know of that really plays a six string is Les Claypool, and he's awesome, too.

Bioshock is really amazing. Here's a youtube video with the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ymg2HzHF9-4

After seeing this many years ago, I had to buy the game when I could. It's just so awesome. It really makes you question what morality is, and the nature of good and evil, as well as how far individuals will go to seek what it is that they want. It really makes you think.

I cannot recommend this game enough. The environment is amazing, too. It takes place in 1960, by the way. So it has a lot of classic stuff in it, from that era.
