It's coming together
I'm getting closer to being finished with the living/dining room in the new house. It wasn't until this past weekend that it finally started to look good:
I still need to put in baseboards, get some rugs and hang stuff on the walls - but at least it's a functional room again.
Here's what the room looked like when I made an offer on the place:
And after I started removing the carpeting:
Three months later I have cleaned and stained the concrete, patched and painted the walls, ceiling and trim, added recessed lighting, moved the dining light and added several dimmer switches.
I've got two bathrooms and the master bedroom to go. Whew!
