mommy-hood, moneylessness, and on becoming a hermit
there seem to be a lot of animal cancer stories floating around on live journal and it's really creeping me out because both lucy and teo have developed growths on their paws. lucy's concerns me in particular because it's growing rapidly and it's really red and ugly. mateo's splotch is larger, flatter and less scary looking, but still a concern. we need to take them in, but we're both broker than a joke at the moment.

as we all know the bush administration has made many cutbacks, one of the less important ones being work-study. it's a tiny cutback but it's really affecting me. my hours have been cut back and when you're only making peanuts, making peanut halves is quite debilitating, at least to one's social life. michael and i were hoping to visit milwaukee this weekend with the dogs. i was going to meet my brother's new found brother (crazy story) and we were going to attend the much anticipated decibully release show. sadly our funds probably won't stretch that far, at least not mine (i have a sneaking suspicion one mr. m. seidel will still make it). so i'm seriously considering getting a second job, or at least a new job that pays better. i don't really know.
