Finish one thing before starting another

Back in early December, I did sigil work on omly. I'd intended to post about it immediately thereafter, but you all know how December goes. Since I am going out, tonight, and doing more sigil work, I figured I better get this captured before it becomes muddled in my memory.

First off, as a rule, I don't share pictures that I do as part of sigil work. I gather the pictures; I give them to the person with whom I did the work, and thereafter, they are for me and that person. I like to have to them to see how the work moves over time, and to see how a given person's sigils are different from year to year. I find that part fascinating and insightful.

In some few case, folks have given me the go ahead to share these pics as part of a sigil post. That was the case here. There are no naked bits in these pics, but there is certainly a lot of skin, and if someone just caught a glance of what you were looking at on your computer, it might make them think you were looking at something not work appropriate. Be so advised.

One of the particularly intriguing things I find in the work is how it all comes together. When I am doing the drawing, I am only vaguely aware of the sigil I am marking at the moment. I also am drawn all over the place sometimes, leaving an area and then revisiting it later. While any given sigils have their own sort of power, together, interesting things start to be revealed. For example, here we see the sigils that were on omly's hands.

Looking at them, they have a similar structure, and they each have a relationship with the sigils further up the respective arms from them; together, the commonality of their nature is shown, as is the differences. The left hand contains, the right hand is open. The left arm has a building, guarded structure as a whole, linking with the containing nature of that hand. The right arm feeds up to the hand, supporting it, and preparing it to receive. The left and right hands side by side for yet another pattern - one passing to the other; one ready for what the other holds. Gathering and keeping.

It gets even more fascinating to me when she draws her hands back to her stomach.

Note how her left, containing hand is supporting the fire-like region hon her belly, from which much arises? The right side of her belly is flowing and open, structurally similar to the hand, and supportive of its intentions. The divided nature is present above her belly button, clearly split with a solid line; however, below that it is gathered together. My sense is that this area on the lower belly is a core focus of will and that everything around and above draw from it and are supported by it.

Another area of large, interconnected intentions and flow was on her back.

In her lower back, there is a circle which surrounds an area of complex energy. It relates through to the energy on her belly - the other side of it. On this side however, it appears almost as a void. I've seen voids before. In this case though, the sigil structure didn't resolve as a void to me. Rather, it was a bright unstructured area - full of something, but so diffuse that I couldn't draw sigils up from it. There was a lot there, but nothing I could capture.
Note also how the left/right balance of her back is just a split as her front was. On her back, the left side seemed more vibrant. The right side had a dry, burned quality. Both of the plant-like structures didn't feel vital. They felt solid, but like an old tree, long dead, but still standing.

Around in the front, there was also a further indication of sides out of balance.

The sigils on her upper chest collectively are what I typically call a heart sigil. Most folks have energy structures going on in this area that are of some significance to their nature. In this case, the left (from her perspective) is opening , shining, while the right is largely closed, save for a single ray out, supporting some loose, weak structure. Mind you - that weak intention has a twin on the opposite side, looking no stronger. Going down her body, in both directions, there is more well developed patterns of energy, which also have a semi-balanced nature. Still, the left side feels stronger, and more powered than the right.

Her left arm has a very solid structure of repeating patterns, almost chant-like - an intention that gradually grows in focus and resolution, moving down to the solid defensive pattern at her wrist.

As you may recall from above, this fits well with the containing, holding nature of the intentions on this side of her.

Also on her left, in this case on her hip, she had this potent figure.

The notion that came to mind when this sigil was revealing itself to me was a spiny sea-shell. It definitely had a protective nature. Interestingly, it related to the spit-intention structure below. In that sigil, divided into three areas, is the sense of different paths of development, all possible, all unresolved.

Leg sigils in most people show common patterns. In many folks, I find them to be more straight forward sigils - with less conflicted nature than you find higher up on the body. After a fashion, this was true in many of the sigils on omly's legs.

Lots of them had a very clean, well structured natures, giving a sense of clear resolve and dedication. Many of them were long running, like a complex series of steps to a goal.

That said, this was not true everywhere on her legs. On the back of her legs, for instance, there were these two interesting structures.

On the right leg, that is a downward flowing sigil, a drawing together of power, focusing it, and making it into nearly a strike. It's potent and aggressive. On the left leg, there is a name, in that long oval. This name was there already - sometimes when I am working, I get calls from other entities to mark their name upon the being upon whom I am working. This has nothing to do with the sigil work, as a rule, so I ignore them. In this case, this name was in the sigils, part of omly in some way. Unlike the right leg, energy flowed up from this name, moving up her body in waves.

Speaking of waves...

This was on her left leg, on the other side from that name; this pattern was shimmering like a lake surface. That said, it wasn't simple energy flow. Subtly, there is a pattern of intention mixed in it as well. It's nature, however, was difficult for me to grasp.

On her inner left thigh, there was this sigil, which crackled with energy.

Interestingly, for being such a potent looking structure, it is just a shadow. This is like the echo of something that had happened; the marking suggest this is almost nearly a monument. It is even spoken of below itself, like a plaque on a statue.

That said, whatever it once was, above it was a feather-like pattern.

This was still moving and vibrant, carried on the energy of that other pattern, still moving and twisting in the power flowing out of that older mark. This sigil is more revealed than the one that stirs it, more able to be perceived, but its dance is only understood in knowing of the other sigil that stirred it into flight.
