The shift
May 1, 2009 seems like forever ago - and when you've lived as many years in this last year as I have, it is forever ago. But that is beside the point. The point is that, in this particular iteration, in May of 2009, I set up my Dreamwidth account. Nowadays, I post over there, and it gets re-posted automatically to LJ land. That has worked just fine. However, all my comments end up being over in LJ. Thus, I end up doing all my reading and replying there. Personally, I'd rather facilitate the shift off of LJ and over to DW. The way to do that is to get folks reading and commenting over on that side. Since it has openid support, that's pretty easy to set up. At least, apparently so. We shall see. In any case, I believe I have adjusted my settings such that folks looking to comment on my posts from now on will end up clicking over to DW and making the comments there. My hope is that, in time, this will encourage more folks over to DW. Here I go...
