When it was that I was bound into the flesh, there was some Irish blood used in the mix. As such, after a fashion, you could say I have a bit of Irish in me. Additionally, snakes do follow about at my feet. Mind you, they are mostly there to advise me as to the state of their work. Those snakes, they are all business.
Anyhugh, given this day of greenery and Irishness, I figured I'd avail myself of the magical powers imbued upon all those with roots on that green isle. By way of that magic, I declare today Friday. Be it so.
You can tell that I have succeeded because here I am, posting a picture post to distract you from your end of the week boredom - why else would I be doing that, were it not Friday?
First off, just a reminder - the end of the dark times is nearly upon us. Soon, the great sky fire will bless us again, and we will no longer have to go outside into scenes like this:
The coming spring puts some frisk into my blood. More so. As such, I find that I am stirred by certain kinds of imagery in particular. For example, check out this awesome bridge:
Sorry - I should have warned you - it's like one of those magic eye pictures. If you stare at it for long enough, you will eventually see a bridge and various other background scenery. So I am told. *looks*
I'm not the only one who is getting into the spirit of the season either. Why, many other supernatural entities I know have really embraced the coming of spring and are partying like the stars are right:
Why, even those who work for a certain dark empire have not been able to resist the call of the season. Perhaps it is, as they say, that there is a little Irish in all of us today?
Further evidence of the mood that is in the air - just check out what happened when I poured two cups of coffee toward each other.
Ok, so perhaps there was a little Irish cream in that coffee, but even so - that's some lively coffee!
Now, not everyone is thinking about spring, or being Irish. For example, some folks are worrying about the economy. Yet others are very concerned about the wars in which our country is current involved. Still others, such as this cat, have very specific, of the moment concerns...
... such as "where is kitty's flat bread?" and "why isn't it going into my mouth right now?"
Speaking of tasty things - I'm sure that the cakes below were probably fairly easy to color, but I found them delightful. I want some such colorful cakes in my future! It would be a wonderful spring party kind of thing.
Looking at this cake, well it made me do a happy little dance. Since I can't readily show you that over teh internets, I will allow this happy little fellow demonstrate for me:
I thought that a certain
ifuonlyknew that I know would particularly like that little guy.
And while I am showing you terribly cute things - well, I probably should advise you to put on your cuteness goggles because the next pic, it may well make you asplode with the cute.
The goggles; they do nothing! *asplodes*
Alrighty, as an antidote to all that cuteness, I pass on a few pics that
jasra found for me. This next one makes me think of what you would get if
the_xtina and
hrafn went in together and built a social networking site.
Boy, I could use that site on, well, like most days lately.
Another pic that came to me via
jasra, this one asking about the nature of evil - similar to questions frequently directed at me, for some reason or other.
By the way, if you do happen to crack open a soul, it releases new car smell. That's where that comes from.
Finally, with spring here, many folks might get swept up in the moment, get intoxicated, pass out, and then leave themselves totally unprepared for the inevitable zombie apocalypse. I'm telling you - the zombies have this all worked out. They are just waiting for a moment of weakness to spring on you all! As such, commit the following to memory and don't forget it, no matter how drunk you happen to be now or in the future!
By the way, the green beer? It's people! Isn't that fuckin' awesome?
*drinks summoar*
