Oh thank you for sharing it, I loved every word so lusciously written...most particularly the way you managed to capture the swirls of sound and the essence of sound itself...and the power of music.

I think maybe the garage rock revival and the Libs-Camden-thing was maybe one of the last moments where a group of young people felt that a band (or several bands) was expressing exactly how they felt about life... Yes I think you're right...there was Brit Pop and Garage/Grunge (Nirvana/Seattle) but nothing much after that... I think you're right about Trampolene and their fans too. Drug choice seems to be entwined with music tastes more than they were - such as Rave culture - whereas I just took whatever was being offered around that night...rather than go to a rave to take E. For example the rap and hip-hop thing a few decades back, but now that has more or less become mainstream too.... So there must sth appealing about it for the underdogs of the society ;)) Very much so, I couldn't agree with you more, even though it has now become more mainstream...and clung to by middle class kids who crave being 'cool

I actually wanted to answer yesterday, but you touched on so many things in you reply, which in turn made my thoughts roll in so many different directions ... that I drifted away completely. And then I fell asleep
