7th December
You know what's funny... and as a kid at school I never imagined that... but as a teacher/ tutor I'm actually more nervous before a test than my kids are... today I had the last lesson with a young girl. She just turned 18, really sweet girl who is trained to be an educator in a kindergarten (for children aged 3-6). She's already a... kindergarten nurse (I suppose that's what you'd call her?) but as an educator she'll be able to run the kindergarten herself. And I'm sure she's wonderful with the children, she's also smart and ambitious but not overly ambitious... she just knows what she wants, knows that she has to work hard for it and that's what she does. I've worked with her for 2 months now and she really grew on me (as you may have noticed by the praise LOL). Her English exam is next Wednesday and I can only pray now that she'll pass (although that means I lose a student, which means less money for me, LOL!) I'm not nervous because I think I didn't prepare her well, I know I did all I could in such a short time. But now my work is done, now it's all up to her (and her "real" teacher who'll take the test with her). *sigh* Ah well... we won't know the result before the new year, so it's a little early to get all worked up about it.
Tonight... I just went a little youtubing :) 10 videos from my (probably) 10 all-time favorite TV shows. I probably have more than 10 all-time favorite TV shows but I tried to limit it and this is what came up: It was a bit hard to come up with an order and this might also change depending on my mood, so don't take this order too serious:

My first JJ Abrams show and the reason why I decided to give Lost a chance.
(Nothing too exciting, just the trailer for Season 2 because this was the time when I really got hooked ;) )
9. Queer as Folk
Ugh what can I say? I love slash? *giggles* And I think you get great characters, characters you just instantly click with, that you very soon just care so much about as if they were part of your family. And... lots of hot sex... did I mention slash? ;)

8. Doctor Who
Me = VERY New to the fandom but already (and I quote) "a very sad sad fangirl" *giggles* I love the Doctor... especially if he looks like David Tennant. I could easily post like 100 Dr Who videos from youtube that I just LOVE but I'm going with this one:
7. Torchwood
If I'm a sad fangirl for DW, I'm an ever sadder one for Torchwood. Also: See #9. ;) And you think it's a coincidence that both shows have the same creator? ;)
6. Buffy
My introduction to the wonderful world of Joss Whedon. The movie actually... huge fan of the movie before I watched the pilot of the TV show... and was utterly disappointed first. LOL! (Hard to imagine now, I know!) Then I watched a trailer for 1x06 Angel and mhmm... there was my reason to watch this show! After a while I realized that the TV show is actually much MUCH better than the movie. And this is a clip from the bestest episode of all time.
5. Angel
I see a pattern here... I like spin-offs better than the original? LOL! Naah... coincidence! Or maybe it's because Angel and Torchwood both aim(ed) for a more adult audience and are/were both a bit darker than the original shows.
But it still had his funny moments - on and off camera! ;)
