So...

One of my best friend's wedding is next Saturday. And I still need a gift. And I can't spend much money or I won't have money for gas and can'*t go to the wedding... if I can't go to the wedding my friend will probably never talk to me again I don't need a gift....

So...

I have no clue what to get her and her hubby. (Technically they are already married. They signed their papers in Feb, Saturday is the big ceremony in church and the party)

I know, I know about this for at least a year and I had tons of time to think about a present but

a) I always leave things to the very last minute

b) since she asked me for a souvenir from Hawaii, I was kinda hoping to find something nice for her and her hubby in Hawaii. But I only got her a calender. Mhmm.

So...

I'm sure they have (had?) some kind of gift table or list but I really don't want to buy them a soup tureen or a new mixer or something.

Anne is my friend since 9th grade (when we were 15/16) and her hubby was in our class (but they started dating after graduation) and for a long long time she and Sonja and me were unseperable friends. So I really want this gift to be special and personal.

I asked my SiL for advice... since she's 5 years older than me, more of her friends are married which makes her kinda more experienced. She recommended one shop which has a lot of nice things. You know, this kind of things that looks nice and you put on a shelf but are pretty useless... dust catchers... mhmm... not really sure if that's what I want either.

*sighs*

Just had the idea of looking for pictures of the both of us at school and making it into a collage or something... and then maybe a gravy boat... something personal and something practical... but I'm not sure if I have  enough (nice) pictures of us... but I could go digging tomorrow...

Anyway....

My dearest f-list...

What's a nice wedding gift? What would you from your best friend as a wedding gift? What did you get someone else as a wedding gift?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

wedding, advice, friends
