This is coming from nowhere, but I have a favor to ask everyone who reads my journal...
One of my friends sent me this today:
I have a favor to ask and it is going to come out of left field. Over the course of this week would you be willing to write a letter to someone in the military? It doesn't have to be specifically addressed, but a lot of the guys over there aren't getting mail and are lonely. I am getting letters together and mailing them to someone I know over there who is going to pass them out to some of the guys who haven't gotten any mail yet. If you could do this it would be greatly appreciated, and if you could get more people to do that I would be even more thankful.
I am definitely going to write some letters - at least one or two. And I'm going to ask her if she will give me a list of names of the people the letters will go to, if she knows, so they can be personalized a little bit. Please, take a few minutes out of your time to write a letter. I know your letter would be greatly appreciated.... If you see me in school, give me your letter sometime during the week, and I will pass it on. If you don't see me ever, email me your letter. Let's get together and do something for the troops... they deserve at least a kind letter, don't they? Thanks in advance!
