Maiyri is once again, not dead, despite a two week hiatus in which I did bugger all net-wise, and a heck of a lot in the non-cyber-world.
Mock Exams were the first week of my exile, and sitting seven exams in a five day period is never fun. I have all the marks back now, and for those unfamiliar with NCEA (National, Criminally Executed, Achievement in education...jokes. Yeah, it sucks that badly.) E is the best mark, M is good, A is a pass, N is a fail.
N for a physics paper and an english essy, but the rest were passes.
M in the other english papers - ohmygodohmygodohmygod!
E's for three of my Geography essays, M for the other, and M for the skills section.
E, M, A for the Statistics three - M, A, A for Calculus - M, A (one of two passes in my class!), N for Physics.
M, M, A for Chemistry. I also did a scholarship calc paper, and failed miserably. But that doesn't count.
=> after this brain explosion, I just couldn't be bothered posting.
Week two of the exile was getting the marks back.
Wednesday, I went Skiing, up on Mt Ruapehu, which is actually a volcano that's doing not much at the moment. The highlight of this year for the volcano was the Lahar, which is a raging torrent of smelly, muddy water, that went roaring down the Tangiwai river. We went and saw the mess it made on a school trip, but that's beside the point.
Anyway, Skiing. At Turoa. Fell over twice, got taken out by a snowboarder once. Have nasty bruises on my legs from the chairlift, and, three days later, my arms still hurt a little. Legs are fine now, but getting out of bed on Tuesday was so much fun. Not.
Because it was the middle of the week and I was wagging school there weren't many people up there. It was supposed to be StrikeDay - They were going to close the schools because the teachers were striking because they wanted more money - But then they cancelled it. Because the Government gave in like the sissies they are.
I have written no fanfic. Sorry.
I've also got the Uni enrolment apps, and I'm figuring out the money I'll need.
Halls of Residence are $260 a week for 38 weeks.
Course fees are roughly $4000.
Textbooks are $500-$1000
Other living costs are about $50 per week.
I get $150 a week on student loan - Which I have to pay back.
$7000 ASG scholarship.
$7000 in the bankiebankiebankie
Sigh. I have to get a job and save up something. But otherwise I'm okay .
My friends mostly aren't, so they're bitchin' about it all the time.
My brother's birthday is tomorrow - He's fifteen, and three of his nasty little friends are here. Actually the friends ain't bad, but Sean's being a little dickhead.
I tried to make a choccy cake just now. It...didn't work all that well.
Oh and apparently my ex-boyfriend was caught doing the naughty in the bushes with another ex-girlfriend's sister.
