Third attempt, and I'm quite happy with this one. I left a bigger allowance along the side, and it's very good for closing the hole. Also, I don't have to worry about the stitch, or the cloth, coming apart when it's manhandled. I spent approximately 50 mins on this, which is definitely a good improvement. The lesser the extremities, the more basic the shape, the easier it is for hand sewing.

It's fluffy, and definitely my favorite so far. My army's coming along well. Fear meh! ::evil laugh::

My sis' old sando (note the word, old)
Thread, needle, button
Pattern
Scissors
Pink chalk (I don't know what it's called. Fabric marker?)
