Procastination

I was over at the PRC office here in Cebu City to file for my LET exam last Monday. You'd think that since the July 31 deadline was given last June there would be no more lines. Haha! Reality hit me square in the face. I arrived before 8am and lo, the line was almost reaching the gate. Good thing I was wearing flat shoes but really, almost 3 hours standing in line was not what I had in mind. It took me the whole morning to finally file my application and for all that time I was either standing in line with other people, jostling with them, or running up and down to have my application signed. Really!! Why can't they have all the offices on one floor so that we don't have to run up and down just for one signature? It's like having your clearance signed in school, you have to find different people to have the application signed.

And the most frustrating part of it all was that how come people are still queueing up to file? I mean they were given almost two months advance notice. I had a valid excuse since my TOR just arrived Thursday of the previous week and Monday was the only day I can file for leave from the office. But how about the others? I mean some were not even working. Come on people!! Filipinos really like to procastinate. I guess it's part of our culture. It's so frustrating. But anyway, I finally had my application filed and I also had sore feet after all that. I rewarded myself with lunch at Jollibee ~

I shudder to think of the lines tomorrow, July 31, the last day for filing of applications.
