Guess what arrived today!
YUP!
I finally got myself a new Kindle, and it arrived today! I can finally say, "GOODBYE" to reading on my mobile phone.
I am going to be real careful with where I place this one. No more high places. Kind of feel a little bittersweet when this arrived. Because I always thought that I would get a Kindle Paperwhite as a graduation gift to myself and that my Kindle Keyboard would still be fully operational. Alas it was not meant to be due to my carelessness and I just had to get a replacement now. Even so, I am ecstatic to have this sweet piece of electronic gadget.
I seriously love the backlight. I am sure I wouldn't miss the cumbersome external light of the Kindle Keyboard Cover. The touchscreen is adequate. Since I have not really started using it proper, I am going to reserve judgement on the lack of physical side buttons to navigate the pages because I really liked the Kindle Keyboard's side buttons for page navigation. Overall, Kindle Paperwhite looks pretty promising.
ETA: After staring at my kindle for sometime, I find that I sort of miss the 'amazon' part of the logo that was present in the Kindle Keyboard and not in Kindle Paperwhite.
