Well, wasn't that an interesting situation. Population control worked well enough in the Middle Ages, and it certainly worked for the better now. I must say, this city never fails to surprise me; and I thought I'd seen it all.

I have not been spending my time idly, Father Cardmaster.

Inquiries have been made as to what must be done in order to speak to you in person. And it seems there are other as eager as I to end your incarceration. Must I beg for instructions when this is the first I have heard from you? Far too distant from me and yet never far away enough.

((ooc: Sorry I missed his earlier post, was sleeping :<))

I take it that by the phrase "eager to end my incarceration" that you have met a colleague of mine. You needn't take to that introverted streak while in the company of the Major, for he can provide assistance.

Welcome to what the masses call the City. I see it's taken quite the liking to you.

[ooc; sleep is what I should be doing now orz is for the weak! But that's okay! This just got interesting.]

And as much was implied by him, though I would hardly trust his word alone. As our alliance has now been confirmed, steps can, and will, be taken.

And I to it; a far cry from London it may be but the opportunities it provides appear to be no less ample.

Quite good. And if you should feel so inclined, do explore the Underground at your convenience. You shall see, at the base of a slumbering city, there are more cards in my hand than I let on.

Of course, you may also find there are even more opportunities than Greater London could proffer - a mere matter of exploration and disciplined creativity. You shall take, for example, our dear Earl's own uses of the citizens and networking at his disposal.

[ooc; a few comments and I'll be down for the count. Also, yes, thar be npc trumps in these parts...]

I shall do as you suggest. The cards will fall into their place according to the wishes of the one who deals them.

The Earl has had much time to make strong his defences against us, but he forgets that we learn quickly. He is not as safe from us as he should like to think. On the contrary.

I trust, then, that your shared quick intellect can mind your claws about Cain. For, you must realise, death carries a far different yet just as fearsome power here. I would certainly hate to demonstrate such power with you as my example.

That aside, I shall await your own handmade web of connections; it is quite possible to induct a new card into my deck.

[ooc; sleep I go. Later it is!]

It would not bear thinking that I bring shame to your name by allowing my scalpel to slip too close to my dear brother's eyes. Ah, but I forget, I carry not your name. My hands and life have long been yours to do with as you see fit, Father, to carry out your will and whim. That much shall not change here.

You will not be disappointed. Though you will never admit as much, I know well enough.

((ooc: sleep well!))
