Well, your disappearance mysteriously coincided with the events that had the City in a torpor some weeks back. Quite a risk to have taken at that time, wasn't it, Cardmaster? You can imagine the questions that might have come up then, for certain folk.

But if you haven't already learned of it, then know that there has been activity among the Police regarding the event from what I have heard at the hospital. I imagine they're already asking for possible suspects, or have asked already.

Don't you think your convenient disappearance could have given Cain the possible leverage to involve you into this?

And now you know, Cardmaster. Surely you understand how damaging this could be, to anyone involved in the organization, should the police decide to start manhunts for suspects for things that certain people have not had a hand in.
