Last I saw it was Warner 1M+, Gilmore 680K+

Basically Warner kicked Gilmore's useless ass, as was only fitting since Gilmore ran VA into the ground when he was governor...not that I'm still bitter or anything.

They're saying that we had around 80% turnout here. oh my god, go VA voters!

83% precincts in now, and Obama has pulled ahead by about 18K votes.

It's going to be a squeaker for sure.

They're making up for that whole "marriage is between one man and one woman" bullshit state constitutional amendment. ... kind of...a little bit....ok, not really.

Dunno why I'm responding to this post instead of one of your later ones...;)

My first look at the returns around 7 showed McCain had 8 electoral votes and Obama 3. I felt a familiar sinking in the pit of my stomach. THEN! The pendulum had swung the other way and I felt so excited! I heard McCain's concession speech on the radio as I was setting my alarm...I kept waking up thinking "Obama is our President" and could hardly go back to sleep!

RONNIES!!!! \o/

I just kept saying to myself not to panic over all the red states popping up, reminding myself that those little piddly ones that were polling McCain didn't need to worry me.

And the PA went and then OH, and \o/!!!

I confess I sobbed like a pathetic little girl while listening to his speech. oh my god, what a moment to have been alive and awake.
