It's definitely a chick flick, Prettiest, but it was a very sweet movie. And the little boy who plays Frankie is a lovely little actor.

I dunno. I admit to being inclined to like All Things Gerard Butler, but this one struck me as a nice little movie. Not great art, not great drama, but a sweet, quiet little film in which the three main characters really experience some growth and movement forward. I give it two monkey thumbs up.

... And then I watched Beowulf & Grendel, and .... um.... mmmmm, Gerry with long hair and wearing armor? um.... mmmmmm, charming interview with an exhausted and yet buzzing-on-adrenaline-Gerry in the extras?

It was a bizarre film (action-based, and yet very thinky), filmed in a gorgeous otherworldly location (Iceland) that really suited the story, and I'm not sure I actually ever need to see it again, but the completest in me is glad that I put it on my Netflix queue. I think the thing that surprised and pleased me most was that there was no cgi used in it, so it was all very down to earth movie making by using the camera angles, and that was refreshing. And the score was good, too, I have to say.

...apparently, I'm talkative today. who knew?
