Remember this post where I said Nicole Vaidisova should take notes from Sharapova and Ivanovic about how to find a way to come back in a match when you're almost down and out? Well, she didn't do it and can now kiss Miami goodbye. I really liked Nicole when I saw her play at the Acura Classic in 2006 but lately it seems like she doesn't even care. I hope she gets inspired again soon.
Nole lost in the 2nd round! I was shocked when I saw the score. I don't even know who the other guy is. I guess winning back to back tournaments is a rarity.

Janky gave me a heart attack earlier! Apart from that dress she stole from Monica Seles, she was thisclose to exiting Miami too! She's really such a fighter and I didn't think I could love her any more until today. I really want her to win a title already and maybe with some kind of health miracle she'll be playing at her best level for the rest of this tournament.

Not a very eventful Saturday but it was better than sitting around. The usual beach trip in the afternoon then had some friends over for dinner. I also played boggle tonight, after many many years, and it's insanely addicting!
