Can't Read My Poker Face
I have to talk about tonight's Glee!
1. LOL TWILIGHT DISS. Tina's line at the end of the episode about Asian vampires was priceless. Both me and my mom were dying.
2. As soon as Idina began to sing "Funny Girl", I leaned over to my mom and said that Rachel was going to recognize her voice from the tape.
I'm glad that Rachel didn't have a perfect reunion with her biological mother. Shelby was right - Rachel is too old for her to ever have that feeling of Shelby being her mom, and Shelby was looking for the infant daughter that Rachel can't be for her.
Loved "Poker Face". Amazing.
3. HOLY SHIT HOT ASIAN MIKE AND SHAFT MATT GOT LINES.
4. Burt Hummel tearing into Finn for using the f-word was........seriously, I continue to be absolutely blown away with how this show handles Kurt's sexuality and his relationship with his father. I had to leave the room after this scene so my mom wouldn't see that I was crying. That speech encompasses exactly how I feel about that word. It doesn't matter if you're not using it towards someone who's gay with malicious intent - every time you say it you're associating it with something negative and are therefore saying that being gay is wrong.
I will admit that Kurt was being very forward with Finn. I also have to agree with another poster who said that Kurt was just as forward as Rachel. Finn was uncomfortable in both situations, but with Rachel he made it clear he was uncomfortable with how forward she was. When it came to Kurt, Finn made it about his sexual orientation. So to me, Burt's rant was completely justified.
Finn redeemed himself in the end though, looking like the best gay superhero ever. ♥
