Who: Niall/Red and open!
Where: Second floor hallway, near the glass bathroom
When: Night 004
What: Talking to and playing cards with ghosts is a perfectly reasonable activity.
Warnings: Icky ghosts and slightly unstable people

Niall is sat on the floor of the second floor hallway, a safe distance from the drowned woman's domain as he shuffles a pack of cards idly. His wound appears healed but he's still... pale. Twitchy, and not just from the ever deepening cold that makes his breath hang in the air. Something about the house has altered him, he can... feel it. In more than one sense. It's a feeling he hasn't experience for a long time, so long it takes him a while to realise what is happening. Already sleep deprived and weak from blood loss, the peculiar sense of fear takes hold in him and sets his nerves on edge. He understands, in a detached manner, the game the house is playing with him but overriding the unnatural -- or perhaps, more natural -- emotions is proving more difficult than he is used to. He dislikes it. Dislikes it and wants it to stop.

Still, it's with no more than a faint frown that he begins to deal the cards -- some to himself, some closer to the drowned lady as she chases the flashlight uselessly.

"You know, I could help you with that miss. Only, I've a mind you'd not be so grateful. Particularly after our last encounter. If it's any consolation, 'twas nothing personal."

He continues to deal, half watching her out of the corner of his eye to make sure she doesn't suddenly decide to leave her territory.

"I'd mark you get it enough, at any rate, this place being what it is. There's many confused and afeared of the creatures in this place. There."

Niall stops, having dealt enough cards and sets the rest between them.

"Well, then. I suppose I'll start, since you're otherwise occupied. Got any threes?"
