Who: Knuckle and you!
Where: Library
When: Day 004
What: Knuckle's dealing with the effects of the experimentation
Warnings: Hallucinations and he'll be prone to random fits of rage... so possible priest punching
After waking up in the hall, Knuckle had stumbled around aimlessly for a time. He may have been free from the experiments, but he still felt the need to flee, in case the ghostly apparitions were following him. He finally made it into the library, somewhere familiar. He made his way over to the couch, finally feeling as though he could relax.
He took a seat and clasped his hands together to pray with his rosaries. His mind was racing, trying to figure out why those who were experimented were chosen. Why Mary? Why Orihime? Why could it not have just been him? Why so many innocent people who had done nothing wrong? What was wrong with this place? Was he in hell? Is that why his faith seemed so far away?
He lets out a sigh and just held his head in his hands. He knew he was not a smart man, there was no way he could ever figure out the answer to his questions. He would just sit and wonder until someone tried to explain it to him... probably Giotto. He would just talk to Giotto about this... he would be able to make some sense of it. Briefly there was a moment where he questioned as to why Giotto had not come to rescue him and the others, but he quickly pushed the thought away. If Giotto didn't come it was because he couldn't.
"Do you really think those beads will make a difference?"
Knuckle could have sworn his heart stopped right then. That voice... he knew that voice so well. He had etched it into his memory so long ago. He looked up to see the man he killed in the boxing ring. Just as he remembered seeing him last... with a broken neck. Knuckle stared slack-jawed, this was impossible... how... how could he even be standing like that?
"J-Johnathan?"
"There's a reason he didn't come for you, you know."
"Johnathan! I-I'm so sorry for what happened! Y-you have to understand it was an accident! I never meant to... I never..."
"I'm surprised you haven't killed Giotto as well."
"Wh-what? I would never! I'm telling you it was an accident!" And for reasons he couldn't explain he felt his blood pressure start to rise. How could he think he had killed him on purpose?! He had given up everything to try to repent for what he had done. How could he stand before him and speak as though he had done so out of malice?!
"Never what? Kill him? You killed me. You took me away from my family, you're a monster."
And that was it. Before he was even aware of what he was doing, he grabbed the couch and with a shout hurled it at the man in front of him, causing the apparition to crash into bookshelf behind him. Then the rage had faded. Knuckle looked at the lifeless man pinned under the couch and fell to his knees looking on in horror.
"Oh god... wh-what have I... Johnathan? JOHN?!"
((OOC: "Johnathan" is just a hallucination, so to anyone watching Knuckle was just talking to himself the whole time and threw a couch at a bookshelf))
