Who: Hyuuga Hizashi, Uchiha Shisui
Where: Glass Bathroom
When: Afternoon of Day 003, right after they wake up
What: Hizashi woke up with everyone else after they'd all been tattooed. Given his Thing about being marked, he is Not A Happy Camper, and has retreated to the bathroom to try and scrub it off no matter how pointless he knows it is.
Warnings: Self-harm, obsessive behaviors, angst, trauma? Probable swearing, too.
It's worse, he thinks, because he doesn't know.
Whatever happened, he has no way to understand it. He wasn't aware for the experience. Couldn't process it. Couldn't get an explanation. There was no hint, no guide, no warning, no way to understand--there was nothing--
Nothing he can do. Again.
He's helpless, useless, clueless, without options or any recourse but his imagination, trying its utmost to twist circumstances into their most horrible light. Who's to say this won't be even worse than the seal? Who's to say what it's capable of, what kind of meaning is behind it, the intentions that placed it on him, on them all? He's lost in the dark about this, completely, with nothing to hold onto and everything to fear--it's hard not to fall back into a sort of primal childish horror at the whole situation.
Perhaps that's why he's here now, stripped bare and standing under a flood of water so hot it steams. Perhaps that's why he's scrubbing so viciously at his arm, even as he realizes how useless it is, even as his eyes tell him this mark goes far too deep to ever wash away. Perhaps that's why he's so desperate--because when there's nothing you can possibly do to make a situation better, doing anything at all feels better than surrendering and doing nothing, no matter how destructive it is. No matter how much it hurts.
He's always been helpless. He's never been able to do anything that could change things. But here..... at least he's alone. At least, for once, whatever he does will only hurt himself in the end. Nobody will save him, but nobody will stop him, either, and nobody will likely miss him at all.
After all, isn't he already dead? What more could they want from him, monsters or fellow victims or fellow spirits alike? What more could anyone?
