Tadaaa as promised. I got this CD a few weeks ago, but finally had time to rip it. The package is pretty cool. It's backwards, which kind of gives it a different taste. I'll take pics of it and scan in the pics in the booklet later :)
I'll/CKBC - Sentimental Lilac(50.9 MB)
When I first stuck the song into the cd player and listened to the tracks, I thought, "OMFG, what have I just wasted 30+ dollars on?" But the songs actually get rather catchy after a while. The songs stick in my head and they're fun to hum too. They're all rock-ish with the exception of the Chopin one and they're.... different but they're good in their own way. Being exposed to only anime and a few other bands, I didn't know about this genre of music from the Japanese. Their music is pretty much Americanized. I didn't really think these songs fit as a an image album for the series, but they kind do now after I've listened to it for the 500th time =D
Ohh before I go on, big thanks to kitten_toy for helping me translate the titles *muah*. LOL they're in big kanji and I didn't know what to label the stuff on the ID tags >_<

rated on a * to *** basis, *** being my faves ^_^
1. Kaze no Machi ni Imare by The Street Sliders *
Not too special. Regular rockish music. I wasn't really impressed with this song. Because it was the first song on the cd, I started freaking out, worrying that I'd wasted my money ^^;
2. Ordinary by Gash***
Really catchy. I like the guitar and drums in this song. I listen to it while I'm driving and my head's bopping along to the beat. I also like the singer's voice. It's not really powerful or anything, but the filter that his voice goes through is pretty cool.
3. Kaze no Hi by Ellegarden **
This song was in the origional soundtrack for the anime and it's still pretty catchy. I bought the anime's soundtrack mainly for their other song, Migite, but this one's also very good. It's upbeat. I think the guitars come off a bit too much. It kind of drowns out the singer's voice in my opinion, but it's still a pretty happy song to listen too.
4. Ningen wa Mou Owarida! by Magokoro Brothers **
I like the singer's voice. It's kind of scratchy but it fits with the song. It makes me kind of wanna lay back and relax like a hippie LOL
5. Yori no Hidokei by Martina Watanabe *
A slow song that kind of depresses me. I usually skip this song, not because it's a girl singing, but because it's pretty boring. I'm sure it'd probably be more interesting is I understood the lyrics, but I don't, so it's kind of plain. It's just a girl and a guitar. It DOES match with the origional series though, since most of the instrumental music is pretty much just a classical guitar playing with some backup. The song's still boring though.
6. Sunset by GOING UNDER GROUND ***
One of my fave songs on this CD. I've just discovered another band that I adore (I adored Ellegarden for a while after hearing the endings in the anime). The music from this band is so cute! I sing along everytime he says "Sunsetto" LOL It's cute. Really, really cute. The singer's voice sounds gentle and soft. The song just cheers you up immediately upon hearing it.
7. Japanese Sparkler by Fuji Frabric ***
This song is PIMP!! []D[][]V[][]D LOL It makes me wanna go grab some bell bottoms and dance. This song isn't rock at all and I didn't think it fit into the image album unless Tachibana and Hiiragi started acting like Charlie's Angels, but it's still a really catchy song nonetheless. I sing along in my garbled way. It's a fun song to sing to!
8. Tear's Trail (Slts Ver) by Hatsuki no Harashi **
A kinda slow song. Sort of reminds me of church music *ahem* The kind of song that makes my feel a bit nostalgic and reflective. I don't really listen to this track that often. It's not bad, just not what I'm into at the moment.
9. Knife by Ellegarden **
I like Ellegarden, I really do, but I kind of grimaced when he started singing Engrish. Ellegarden usually plays pretty good music and the singer can actually sing in English pretty decent. Some of their songs you'd think they were an American band. This isn't one of them. I think the song's pretty catchy in the beginning, but it dies when he starts repeating the english lyrics like, three times.
10. Kaze ga Tsuyoi by The Street Sliders *
Maybe I'm just not fond of the music style of this band. I don't really listen to this song very much. It's slow, really slow. I just sit there and wait for the song to end or press the skip button most of the time.
11. kodama by GOING UNDER GROUND ***
Another song from the cute band. Their songs really make the cd worth buying. I like the guitar and drums in the song. It's not as catchy as their previous song on this CD, but it's still pretty good. The singer in this song makes me want to revert back to my childhood and be innocent again LOL.
12. Nocturn No.2 in E-Flat Major, Op.9, No.2 by Chopin ***
This track is pretty random. It's not a modern song like the other songs and no one's singing, but I've always liked this song. It makes me very angsty whenever I listen to it. I was listening to it a while ago when I was thinking about a plot for a POT fic in my mind. Fuji was angsting during a thunderstorm (LOL cliche I know), but wow, this song just added the sound effects to my thoughts.
13. Itsuka no Umi by YO-KING ***
This song is kind of slow, but I like the singer's voice. Not exactly what I expect after hearing all that japanese pop and visual rock stuff. *gets out a lighter and starts waving it in the air*
