LJ is becoming that weird little coffee shop that you are not sure how it stays afloat but you are glad it does so you can come sometimes and have a drink and get something off your chest. I had the Ablation procedure done yesterday. I am feeling pretty good, tired but about the same tired as a good event with too much sun. So, I did not go to the demo where I had planned on sitting and looking pretty and not fighting but I am staying home and doing a thing and resting. Yesterday, I got a call to come to the hospital early, they called at 8:45am when I was still in bed since we did not have to be at Methodist until 10am and I live 8mins from the hospital. Steven had to finish breakfast and we got there at 9:30 and used the valet parking since I did not want to figure out where to park but just get in and get settled. I checked in at the front desk and then the volunteer tried to take me to the lab, but I waved him off since I was so sure that I had done the lab work last week. Turns out he was right and I was wrong but I would sit for a while before they discovered that I had not done the lab work before coming up, even though the volunteer tried to tell them. I was just so sure that I did not need lab work that morning. It turns out that my left side is a failure point for trying to get IV"s into. I will remember this as both nurses hit valves, they could draw blood but not get the iv in sucurely. So, I got my IV in my right side. I went down to the operating theatre and they stuck all the stickies they needed all over me and give me the knock out drugs. I had weird dreams and there was blue and white fabric hanging all thru the dreams ( Illiton's colors are blue and white and we have been looking for just the right blue and white fabric) I came out of deep sleep three times, said hello, hello and then I got to go back down deep. I was really concerned one time because my legs hurt, since I have tight tendons and they hurt.
I woke up in the recovery room and I was groggy but not in pain. I ate and steve took me home. I slept some more got up and ate some yogurt. I got up this morning and I might weight was up, sigh. Maybe I over ate on Thursday, the day I had to stop eating at midnight, maybe I did not move enough during the day I spent sitting and then being drugged out.
My doctor took me off metoprolol right then after surgery. I am glad of that
I need to do a week or two of blood presure testing. I have my own cuff and I have taken it before, its just a thing, I have to make time in the morning to do the test.
