I've been playing a lot of Guild Wars lately. I managed to obtain a copy of Prophesies, so I'm playing in there as well as in Factions. The game is really addicting, and playing with other people is like a drug, and I'm finding, quite necessary to complete some missions. And while I still think my mouse and keyboard skills are lacking, I love running around and killing things. It's very theraputic when things are going pear-shaped, which as a single mother, they tend to do on a regular basis.
I haven't seen the new Harry Potter movie yet, which is pretty surprising, given for a long time I was a huge Harry Potter geek. But I am planning to go see it this weekend, and it will be one movie this summer that gets my movie going dollar - and not many do. I've tried to stay away from most spoilers and reviews, and have been pretty successful. I'm wondering about the movie, because in some cases - I loved the book, and in others, oh I couldn't stand it.
And in just a week and a half - the last Harry Potter book will be released. The past three I had delivered to my doorstep, but I didn't do that this time - I'll just go to the store and buy one that Saturday. I'm not worried that they will run out of copies. I wonder how long it will take me to read it. Order of the Phoenix took me 8 hours, and I read straight through, while eating pizza, and taking a bath. Half-Blood Prince took me six hours, and I don't remember much about reading it. I've only read it once since then, and have been further removed from the Harry Potter fandom since then. But while I'm anxious to read the 7th book, part of me dreads the end. But I hope it's as good as the Doctor says it was.
That's about it from this end, geek-wise. Other stuff going on - but here is where I go to get away from it all...
Cheers, all!
