Yesterday a bicyclist crashed into me. It happened on the sidewalk of a bridge over the Main, which actually is reserved for pedestrians only; but because the motorized traffic is somewhat lethal on this bridge, cyclists don't give a damn for the pedestrian's rights. This particular kamikaze came racing in my direction, apparently expecting that I would jump out of her way immediately. But I couldn't, as my head was swimming because of a neck/spine condition and I was slowly and anxiously staggering along my way. So she simply crashed into me frontally and began to curse me.

Life is rough out there, I tell you. Especially if you're born with an innate right of way.

And as it is not the first time that something like this happened to me, a note to myself: Polar bears should wear safety vests in the snow. Even if there is no snow at all, visibility is fine, and the bear is only a nick-name bear.
