Icon Meme

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.

2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.

3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.

4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

lady_ganesh picked these:

Little Byakuya (Kuchiki) from Bleach, made by djalina .

I never quite got the overwhelming worship this guy gets in the Bleach fandom. He always seemed quite bland to me. But sometimes they are little sparks that make him all better :p. And that 'child/teenager' episode was definitely one of them. He was kind of a brat, in a less subtle way than his grown up self. And it's a well made icon.

 Crawford is Bad

Originally an fanart illustration of daegaer's Schwarzkinder saga. The part where Crawford runs away to a tropical island. That series of drabbles made me smile so much. And I see text in pictures, very vividly.

Besides 'Bad Crawford' icon can be used in so many instances :p.

Farfarello (Weiß Kreuz) icon made by stace_s

Kind of an over-the top take on the Farfarello's fandom-cliche habit of licking his knives. With any other guy this could have all sorts of ulterior meanings but with Farfarello it turns into this. I kind of like cracky interpretations sometimes (you'd never guess, right?).

Fujimiya Aya (Ran) from Weiß, icon made by brelyna

A truly inspired idea, I think. Another take on a fandom cliche (the poor poor, ugly sweater). And he's even properly sad looking in the icon. I know most of the Aya-adoring fandom would like to ritually burn this piece of clothing, but I find it kind of adorable in all of it's ugly and unfashionable glory. I'm not a great fan of the 'superstar gary-stu Aya) and this is something that makes him seem more like a regular guy and less like a stylist-fashioned idol. So, I like the sweater. Long live the Sweater!

My Holidays icon. Santa Takatori (Takatori Reiji in a Santa suit)

Because can you think of a more appropriate guy to wish you happy holidays? This was actually my fandom greeting card for Christmas 2005. There were supposed to be children in the bag, but I don't think it came through.

Tea and Croswords, a stock icon mada by djalina

Because what could be better? I needed a relaxing, non-fandom-ish icons. And I love both tea and crossword puzzles.
