A group of teens sat Tuesday in a wide circle of white plastic chairs in the back yard of the Bolanowski home, mourning the loss of two friends.
Tears fell, but there was laughter, too, as the young people took turns remembering Robert "Robbie" Bolanowski, 16, and Alysha Salt, 19.
The teens were out with friends at about 11 p.m. Monday when a Mason man crashed his Toyota Camry into their vehicle, Meridian Township police said. The man was southbound on Hagadorn Road when he tried to pass a vehicle and slammed into the teens' northbound station wagon, police said.
