More Trouble Than Its Probable Worth

Since I'm getting more ancient and decrepit, I decided to file for a two day leave from work. However, I am just realizing now that it may have been better if I just went to work. It's just Wednesday but I have already clocked in 38 hours of work for the week. I'm not even finished with all that I have queued up to do. Then, there are those things that the higher-ups want to be done and just sent their instructions within the week with a deadline by Friday... when I'm on my leave...my data are not even complete. So now, I have to go to the office and do some more overtime in order to finish what needs to be done.
