DoD - a traumatic experience + a gift to heal the wound
I like this quote so much but it doesn't fit into Twitter's 140-chara limit so I'll just do it here.
A commentator's words before watching Drag-on Dragoon's D ending:

You shed some tears upon watching Kaim and his dragon lover getting separated, overcame the almighty Barf-urie, moved on from the lovers' quarrel, and so by now all players surely would think there should be a good ending coming up next but as they opened up chapter 12, their jaws agaped, eyes fallen off, screams ahoy, controllers dropped, and you muttered,
"Why did you even think of making this game, Cavia..." )

To update people on LJ, I finished playing through NieR Replicant and watched all endings (although first playthru was mostly done by xaevyn lol thanks!) so following the rumours that NieR is an indirect sequel to Drag-on Dragoon (Drakengard)'s E ending, I got curious and watched gameplay/Let'sPlay videos for it. (I did buy and play it but chap 3 onwards was too hard for me)
After watching all endings for it, it dawned to me that Drag-On Dragoon (Drakengard) was the most f***ing mind-blowing, depressing, gruesome, grotesque, NGGGGGGGHHHH-ing JRPG to ever be published by Square Enix and it makes me completely curious how Cavia succeeded in getting SE to forgive them for making this game and why exactly they went tame for NieR because I'd have wanted them to screw up my mind with their superior skills now.
Also, uh, NieR really doesn't have much connections to DoD after all besides that location and that monochrome feeling (and weapon cameos), but whatever. This 3-hour journey definitely opened up my eyes in certain ways.
Being depressed from this weird experience, I went to Twitter to cheer myself up because today is that-day-of-the-year and it definitely did, thank you. I also received a package from jen_kat last week but kept the surprise until today and finally opened it up. Well... it really was surprising.
It turns out it's a collab gift between jen_kat and ultra_butterfly OMGGG WHAAAATT I didn't expect you two would team up for something like this! When Jen was saying "other person", I thought it was the Terra cosplayer she kept talking about lol. XD;; Anyway the package consists of:
Awesome BbS trio laminated 'jigsaw puzzle' with artwork drawn by Kuzu!!! (with my PSP on the left to show how big this puzzle is lol it took up almost all of my futon XD)
and a heart+crown handmade(!!!) rug and her trademark lovely key+crown letter set by Jen!! (yeeesss I've always wanted to receive something like this from her!)
and Kuzu's letter (with a scrapped puzzle artwork sooobb it's just as cute dangit!) + postcard of the puzzle artwork!
I... I'm amazed at how much effort you guys would bother to put for me in this sooobb I'm so grateful of you and I'm sorry if I suck so much at trying to be a good friend to you guys ;A; (or to anyone really sooobb) I promise I'll try harder to come to everyone's expectations sob thank yoooouu
Well I've been so giddy for the past few hours so I should kick myself to bed now. I don't think I can switch off the lights though. DoD's D and E endings are THAT traumatic. 8(((
