Pose Maniacs 30 sec x 10 It's some sort of program that helps you improve your artistic (or anatomy?) skills quickly.
How to Use
Prepare pencil and paper, and after pressing the Start button in the Flash, anatomical body models with different poses will show up one after another on every 30 seconds. The challenge is to draw down each pose within 30 seconds. Drawing ten of these everyday (5 in the morning, 5 before sleep) is enough to improve your art skills tremendously (supposedly)!
It's something to do about training yourself to use the right side of your brain more or something. For the advanced artists, you can challenge yourself to draw as many lines as you can for each pose, while for beginners, just giving yourself the daily habit to draw as many sketches in a short amount of time is enough to make you gain a lot of experience quickly.
Tips on Drawing
1. Don't worry over quality, just make sure you finish drawing the pose.
2. Leave language out of your brain. Don't bother to wonder what the person's doing or even react with words.
3. Just focus on the body volume, flow of the movement and centre of gravity. Forget details.
4. Spend more time staring at the screen than your paper.
5. You can speed up if you draw without pulling up your pencil.
6. It's easier to keep the balance if you draw the backbone and waistline first.
7. Once you're getting used to this, challenge yourself by drawing with brush, pastel, charcoal or other kinds of media.
Here's what I've drawn in the past couple of days. Haven't drawn my share for today, though.
I clearly still suck. :/ The artists I got this challenge from are showing their own sketches and they made way better observations than me... *pout* Well, I'll still go on trying this, anyway!!
After doing that last sketch, I decided to try making quick sketches of characters I know to see if there's any small sign of improvement.
Unfortunately, there's none. *sigh* Why do I always have problems with shoulders... At least it took me just around 5 minutes to draw them.
Anyway, TRY IT!!

I feel sorry that I never get to draw birthday gift arts for, like, 98% of my flist but since I coincidentally got the time today... HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
ultra_butterfly!!
"Stop eating like a kid, Aki."
It's Aragaki/Sanada with my usual cup of ghetto tea colouring. I'm so sorry. If you want a version without the stupid background, please do tell me. I'll gladly change it.

Looks like the
LJ drama is finally over. (angry comments aside)
......
OR NOT? I think it's either LJ's on crack or their methods of handling issues is beyond comprehension. Either way, I'm still wondering if we're allowed to use those trigger interests back or not.
In regards to the drama, Abyss fans (who get the inside joke) might be amused with
this entry (if you don't know of it already).
