So, I last posted in September. Even after nine months, I can't really say too much has happened.
I think there are some really big things going on, but the thing is that I really just don't see things the same as I used to. Everything about me changed after last summer, at least on the inside.
I guess I'll just try to go in order, at least the best that I can.
I did eventually get away from Picture Show. Mike was recruited by Joe to work at Scholastic Bookfairs in the warehouse over in Lake Mary.
After a little while, Mike recruited me in as well.
All I did for a few months was work there and go to school, which worked out well. I would go to school in the morning, and have about an hour to eat before work where I would be until about 11 o'clock. Then I would go home and sleep to start it over again. Weekends I would be free. The problem with Scholastic is that they are based around the school system. Being apart of their second shift, we are all "temporary employees." So, when winter break and summer break come around, we get cut. And you've just got to hope that they call you back.
So, late January rolls around, and we get the boot for a couple of months. I'm always looking for a better job, but at this point, I was getting desperate. And I was looking for the entire time until we only recently got brought back into Scholastic, on March 23rd. Luckily, we're confirmed to be working through the summer and into the fall season because of a relocation of the warehouse, so they're going to need the help.
Which is great for us, because Mike and me are going to really need the money. Just recently, we, along with Sarah have decided to go for getting our own apartment. We're moving in on July 1st, and I would say we're pretty far on our way to getting ready to move in. We've amassed quite a collection of things that we'll need for the apartment.
Where college stands, I can't really say that I'm doing to well. So far, I have credits for Speech, Philosophy, and Creative Writing. Which seems okay, but compared to the other classes I've taken; English I (twice), Statistics, and Astronomy; I've failed more than I passed. Hopefully it's just the case of adjusting and it'll only get better. But...I don't know. In my heart, I'm not sure if that's true.
And that pretty much bring us to where we are right now.
On the bright-side, I did get a side job of sorts back in March. I'm writing for a website called Examiner.com
In any case, I'm getting tired, and now LJ is messing with my entry.
So, I'm going to call it a night and maybe use this as an excuse to write the rest of the entry soon.
