ROSKILDE FESTIVAL WAS GREAT <3
Seriously, 4 days of partying and 4 days of music makes life complete!
Had such a great time with everyone, even though our camp should have been called "Drama Queens" indstead of "Fuck A Duck" xD
We had a lot of bitching, PMS-ing, snarking, you name it. And I even got allergic to sunlight, because of my lack of sun the last two/three years >.< But other than that, we had a lot of fun 8D
It started thursday with Volbeat which is a danish metal band. I've seen them before, so I wasn't that impressed, but a nice concert anyway xD Then I saw Kanye West! I though I only knew his version of Daft Punk's "Stronger, faster", but I actually regonised about 3 more songs ö Then I was about to see Trentemøller, a danish DJ kind of guy, but I was too tired xD
The next day I went to see a japanese band called Mono. No vocal but the two el-guitares, the drum and bass made beautiful music! Pretty nice concert even though people didn't know how to react on the foreign music xD I also saw Mike Sheridan who is a popular danish DJ (Who is attending the same school as I just graduated from), but I don't like his music, though. It's too much of the same beat all over >.< Later I saw the ending of Friendly Fires which I read should have been a really nice concert. From what I heard is was nice, too ^^ Frightened Rabbit on the other side was disappointing. Is was cool music but the front singer wasn't doing a good job, so we left pretty fast.. Instead I heard some Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, which wasn't very impressing, but my friend wanted to hear it. Then I left with my other friend to watch The Mars Volta, which was wierd rock 'n' roll music, but it was okay. They made a good mood with the audience. But I left early to see the main performer that day: Oasis <3 Even though they don't like playing "Wonderwall", it was awesome! Nice concert indeed! And to continue the great performances I saw an almost unknown band called The Soft Pack, which was great! They looked liked some british pretty-pop-rock kinda thing, but played a bit stronger, more punk like! It was so nice! :D And we danced to the concert ended XD After that we saw a bit of Nine Inch Nails, which sounded like something I would hear, but we went to see Amon Amarth instead which was some kind of Viking Metal, lol xD I then went to bed after only one number from them XD
Saturday I wanted to see Tim Christensen, a danish rock musician, but there was way to many people to get a place in shadow and I got red spots of too much sunlight, so we lay under a tree around the corner and listened. So nice! I really like his songs, both his solos and his song from his former rock band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy ^^ Then I had a break before I watched some gypsy punk called Gogol Bordello. Lol, they were crazy but good dancing music 8D We had a lot of fun at their concert xD Then another break. Through the day it was so hot we had to sit down in shadow and relax a lot. That's why I didn't see Lily Allen that day. Later we saw Slipknot, which isn't really my style, but we just had to see them xD After that we waited for Pet Shop Boys to go on! And when they did, it was great! I remember these guys from when I was younger. So nice music and the concert were nice! They were only missing one song I can't remember the name of, which made me a bit dissapointed. But they played "Go West" and "You're always on my mind", so I survived <3 After that we wanted to see Malk De Koijn, a danish rap group with funny lyrics, but again I heard it wasn't possible to get close to the scene and there have been talk about why they didn't get the biggest scene instead of just the second. But we left halfway through the Pet Shop Boys concert because of some misunderstanding with my littlesister which made her angry. But instead of going to bed, me and my friend lay outside in our sleeping bags and listened so the music before we slept there ^^
The last day, sunday, we didn't wanted to leave our bags in the camp to see the music, because people run around the empty camps to steal what people leave behind. So together with my friend, who got sick and wanted to go home, we left the fastival around 2 pm with all the bags when my mother came with car, and later (after a bath and proper food) we took the train back to enjoy the rest of the festival. We came to the last half of Madness and was afraid we missed their song "Our House", but fortunately they played it in the end ^^ after that we went to another japanese band called Soil & "Pimp" Sessions, who was presentated as "deathjazz". Wierd much? XD But it was nice and we danced a bit to it :D After that the festival would end with Coldplay, but me and my friend wasn't interested and left for the camp, where my friend found her forgotten beers xD We then ran around and talked with random people getting drunk and having fun and in the end ended up listening to Coldplay anyway xD We then met up with my sister and ninnoh and drank, danced and other thing to almost six in the morning where we finally left the festival xD
I'm already looking forward to next year! 20 concerts on four days. Not bad 8D
Hope there'll be great names to enjoy because this year was a bit boring. I'd like Johnny's guys to some next year! But I don't think they'll be able to get enough audience xD
My next projects will be to concentrate on getting a job and my driver's license. Waah, no more fun >.<
