It is, right now, week 10. The last teaching week for the semester is week 12, and then week 13 is a study week and week 14 is the beginning of the exam period (but I don't have any exams).
What I DO have is 5 assignments pending. They are:
- Composition class's film score analysis assignment (Friday week 12) (fairly easy, not too worried)
- Composition technology class's composing a score for screen assignment (Monday week 12) (tough but cool)
- Musicianship class's Auralia log assignment (Tuesday week 12) (deathly dull but easy)
- Screenwriting class's script first draft (Friday week 13) (shouldn't be a problem but is time consuming)
- Digital photography I's thematic project (Friday week 13) (AWESOME FUN but time consuming)
Here's my problem: I CAN'T STOP PROCRASTINATING.
Seriously, today was going to be uber productive. I was going to power through the film score analysis and the Auralia log, then cover the scrip draft on Friday and be like, wow, I still have heaps of time for the others! Then I slept in, watched some Scrubs, blow dried and straightened my hair, did some makeup, took some photos, went shopping and bought some boots and a jacket, came home, ate lunch, watched some Scrubs, watched some YouTube stuff, Skyped with Toni, arranged a Mothers Day present with Rhun, tried on my shoes to show them off to Mum and Kevin, and somewhere in here I did a miniscule amount of my Auralia log. I realised when I started thinking about updating the Quotes Book that things are getting serious, so I've promised myself that if I can FINISH my Auralia log tonight, I can watch the disc of extras that came with my Twilight DVD when I preordered it from Sanity. But I MUST finish the assignment before this can happen.
Here's what else has to happen tonight:
- A brief photo shoot with Rhunie for above-mentioned Mothers Day gift
- Setting up for aforementioned photo shoot
- The cooking and consumption of dinner
- Nightly Skype with Chris
Sounds easy enough but I'm REALLY good at this not-getting-things-done thing. It's irritating. And I'm doing it RIGHT NOW by writing this post. And WRITING IN CAPITALS a lot too.
Okay, I'm gonna go set up for this shoot now so that when Rhun arrives its ready, cause he's just dropping in on his way to the movies. The camera's already set up and tripod-ed from earlier today so alls I gotta do is make the lighting look nice. Hopefully that's easy enough.
Wish me luck!
