Adiós Raquel!
My flatmates year of studying here is finally over and we saw her off at the train station this morning, crying and sniffling and hugging. It felt weird to see her go, it still feels as if she's coming back in a few days.
I got up extra early to make fresh muffin-cakes (new recipe) for breakfast, apparently she liked them. True to the mood, the sky was grey and it rained heavily, but we hardly minded. I already miss her a bit, but we've got her contact information and she promised to write in two weeks.
On the brighter side, my amazon package arrived today and I finally have a variety of three African Hairclips to use. They are more difficult to use than I thought, since it somehow always looks a bit messy, but they are comfortable and practical, so I just need a bit of practice I think and I'll be really happy with them. I'm thinking of giving one to my mom as a christmas present, I'm pretty sure she'd like them as well.
