Polaris is so soon!
So basically, Polaris starts this Friday and the sewing panic has started to set in.
I got my chemise dress to a point where I can try it on, and all I can say is PRETTY!
I took these pictures over my pink stays and petticoat, and I have to say, I really like the look of the pink peeping through. I think it gives it more of an edge, rather than the regular white fluff. Any thoughts? If I do decide to wear my pink petticoat I might make a blue sash rather than a pink one, as that would be WAY too much pink.
I have also discovered a way to lace my corset so that I don't get mega-boobies. Hooray!
So, to do list for chemise dress:
1. Sew on sleeves
2. Add neck ruffle
3. Hem
4. Add cockades to shoes
5. Make sash
6. White petticoat?
7. Experiment with hair to get big curly hair. I expect t use lots of fake hair. Any tips?
No progress on the Five costume. The only sweater that I've found that at all works is $35 at Smartset, which I feel a bit bad about spending on as I' just going to re-make it. I'll think about it for tomorrow.
