I finished my pink linen petticoat! I looks great. I love the colour so much, it's such a cheerful pink! Now I have two 18thc petticoats, one linen and one cotton. They're both the same length so I can mix and match which one goes on top.
I also started to rip the pieces for my new linen chemise. Have I said before that I love rectangular constructions? So hopefully I can get that up and running soon. And I have just enough linen left for a cap, and maybe another apron. So, my 18thc jacket-combo is going as thus:
1. Shift/chemise - cut out
2. Pink linen stays - cut and assembled, still need to make boning channels
3. Petticoats - both done!
4. Blue apron - done!
5. Kercheifs - one finished, second needs to be hemmed
6. Pocket - finish embroidering and assemble
Still to make:
5. Striped jacket
6. Linen cap
I also need to find some shoes and a hat. I have leather shoes that might work if I add buckles, but they're a bit big and clunky. I have still to find a good flat straw hat.
