Since it seems to be a bit of a trend, and I like making lists, here are my costume resolutions for 2008.
1. Make white 1790s gown to go under red open robe.
2. Drop-front regency dress from green spotted sheet.
3. All that 18th century stuff I've been talking about making - stays, chemise, petticoats, jacket, and Robe a L'Anglaise. Do you think the printed cotton I posted a picture of before would work as a 18thc print?
4. Another bodice for my stripey bustle dress. I'd like more of a day bodice with a higher neckline and long sleeves.
5. Possibly a cotehardie to wear with my 14thc kirtle for more formal SCA events.
Sounds pretty reasonable. Let's just hope I get cracking on it!
EDIT:
This also looked like fun, so here's what I accomplished costume-wise in 2007.
1. The Stripey Bustle Dress
2. My 1873 Paletot, which I realise I have yet to post pictures of. Oops?
3. Heather's blue regency dress.
4. Canadian Corset
5. Sleeves for my Tudor peasant garb.
6. Pink Regency Bonnet
7. Regency shift, corset, and petticoat
8. Two 50s sundresses
9. Kercheif
10. 18thc apron
So mainly a lot of small things and not really a whole outfit. But oh well. That's how I roll.
