Okay.
I liked Amy, but didn't love her for a while. NOW I LOVE HER. She's such a refreshing change from the Rose and Martha style 'hopelessly in love with The Doctor', and instead just wants to shag the hell out of him. I kind of love it. She's like the female Turlough (if you believe fannon). I liked from the beginning that Amy isn't afraid of using her sexuality to her advantage. If she wants to shag someone, she'll bloody well go for it.
I also enjoyed when Amy asked him if it'd been a long time, and the Doctor's immediate response was "No, no!" Well, he had apparently been off shagging Elizabeth I...
I think this ep is a final nail in the coffin for the 'Doctor is asexual' believers. Because if the Doctor really can't have sex, couldn't he just have told Amy that to get her off him? Haha!
Also, I thoroughly enjoyed River. She was sassy and fun and in charge, and all the things I liked about her in Library of the Dead that I thought got swept under the rug in favour of DOCTOR/RIVER OTP 4EVA! I liked the twist of her killing a man, and apparently holding no regret for it. I also enjoyed her 'maybe when you're older' quip to Eleven. Oh, bless.
Now, I'm off to go read some steamy Eleven/Amy fic. Tata!
