KATE NASH! Omg, you guys, KATE NASH!
The concert was FANTASTIC! Leah and I got to the venue nice and early because we had to pick up our tickets. The boz office wasn't open yet, so we went to a cafe and had delicious coffee and paninis and chatted for a bit. After dinner, we got a really good place in line and had a lovely chat with the girls in and front of and behind us. Everyone was really excited to see Kate, and a truck came by giving away free energy drinks, so I was pretty buzzed!
They let us in right at 8 and I ran right to the front and got my elbows on the stage, right in the same place I was for Patrick Wolf. There were two openers, one was okay and the other was AWESOME!
Then Kate came on. She was as adorable and she always is! The show was high-energy and fun and loud. After the show finished she looked around the stage for stuff to give people, and I got a copy of the set list!
Before the show I had been talking to a girl who said that last time she saw Kate Nash she had waited around after the show and Kate had come out to say high and sign things, so Leah and I decided to hang out to see if we could say high. We waited for about half and hour until it was just us and another two girls left. Then a security guard came up and asked us if we were waiting to get stuff signed. We said yes, so he led us back stage to the stairwell outside her dressing room. He started saying we were allowed to go in one at a time, and then Kate came down into the stairwell with us! She was a bit tipsy and very hyper! She gave us all hugs, and talked to us for a few minutes about stuff she should do when she's in Toronto. Then she took pictures with us, and signed my set list for me. We talked for a few more minutes, she gave us all more hugs, and then left with the other band.
I woke up this morning and I couldn't remember if I had dreamed it, and then I saw my signed set list and I remembered it was real! AHHHH!
I am SO happy that she turned out to be as genuinely sweet and adorable and she seems on tv. I can't wait to see her again!
