So XBox uptade. Mostly because that's what's occupying 50% of my time these days...
Sending it for repair is not an option. My understanding is that the $140.00 does not include shipping. Shipping something of this size and weight (to somewhere in Canada or the US) would be around $30 to $40.... one way. So having it repaired would cost me almost a brand new machine.
I did look online for repair it yourelf guides. I think I can do it but I may screw up. Of course, if I do screw up it's not like I'm that much worse off than I am right now. Plus it's not like I can void my warranty since it's already over. I do have a few other concerns about this but there are mostly things I'll have to figure out for myself...
I also haven't done this yet because, as mentioned last time, I can still somewhat turn it on. I tried to power it on yesterday and I got to play for quite a few hours before it crashed again. While I don't mind the risk if the machine is really dead, I don't want to risk repairs if I don't have to.
