WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! It's HERE!!!! I am listening (AGAIN) right now and its a freaking rocking album! (you all know what I'm referring to). Its not quite Brave New World but I reckon it might be a "grower".... its still freakin cool :D
Errr... yeah anyway, this weekend has been pretty interesting - a variety of circumstances... Lets start with Saturday. Joe arrived back from "the South" and I got paid which was nice, I'm just about to finish my post-developement work on some of those photos I took of Dylan, which are looking pretty nice :). Nothing else to say about Saturday really- I was glad to Finally be home again (for however, sort a time it was)...
Sunday saw me working at Sheffield Wednesday for the Yorkshire Derby... Oh dear... :P Nah it wasnt too bad, Leeds and their fans do have a reputation, but its not entirely true... Well, not in all cases anyway. There were a helluva lot of them though. Thats easily the busiest we've been all season so far, though the next three games or so should all be pretty busy too (my last few matches before Uni in theory). The only real "insident" was hilarious... A workmate and myself (boh being rocker-types) have long hair and this guy says to him " What the f***s the matter with yopu two anyway? Don't you get paid enough in Yorkshire to get a f***in hair-cut? I shave mine, cos I can afford it"... Um yeah... no comment... though why he added that last bit... still, whatever... stupid prat...
The rest of the afternoon (I love early kick-offs ;) ) I spent with the gorgeous
samegrazedknees, shopping, pick-nicking and bike-riding. We rode up to Redmires Reservoir and ate dinner as the sky got duller and the light faded. I kinda wished I had my camera as the surface of the lake was so smooth and the reflections so clear but there wasnt a beautiful sunset so I didnt feel I missed out too much. Still, I'm getting to the point where I always feel like I'm missing something when I dont have at least one camera on me...
Monday, saw me at Buxton FC working again and another trip to CORP was on the cards for the evening. Generally a good few days all round. Thanks to Ned, Ian,
pcek,
im_snuffles,
axeman2002,
samegrazedknees and
joebarnsley (oh look, I spelt his name right... despite insults... :P) for a cool night out.
Came home to day and went driving. This was ok, apart from some idiot overtaking me on the inside as I tried to turn right :| yes... well, once again the intelligence of certain individuals is astounding... Other than that I've done nothing much, listened to wonderful music and read, had a visit from my uncle... :O Which was a welcome rarity... Well thats it I guess... better just warn you though, there'll be a full album review on A Matter of Life and Death coming as soon as I've listened to it enough :D Then I promise that'll be the last Iron Maiden post until the gig in December, honestly! Well... unless something REALLY interesting appears on the webstie... :P Till then...
Rock On...
