Sorry, sorry I know, bad joke... Bad, bad bad joke for a title but what you, yes you *points, wild-eyed and crazily* gonna do about it?! This is my journal and if I dont have a decent sense of humour thats my problem not yours! So :P! (jus messin)
Anyway, last week was pretty interesting, with a few olde olde hobbies being re-discovered and many photos taken but lets start at Friday/Saturday. After some scrapbooking on Friday, we went into town on Saturday to buy Uni books and research camera prices (which was incredibly fun, actually...). I also endied up buying a nice new shirt and some bits and pieces which was good. I'd better credit
samegrazedknees with some good taste and advice on the shirt purchase. After which we went off to Hull see Simply Red in concert.
Now this wasn't what you'd expect to hear from Kevo-"therocker"-If-it-aint-rock-dont-play-it-to-me- Percivalbut nevertheless I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The band sounded great and the crowd got behind then quite a bit. The atmosphere wasnt as electric as some concerts I've been to but it was, as I said, a great experience. I wont go into too many more details incase harriet wants to say on her journal (suffice it to say we also got to go back-stage). Special mention to the support band also who played a good set I thought. Swedish soft-rock band Calasia (debut CD out last monday) play Irish/country tinged rock songs (think Corrs... only about a billion times better, and several million times more interesting) and all members play a variety of instruments including flute, violin/fiddles, guitars, various bits of percussion and strange "hand drum things" which are sat upon to play... :S No idea what they were sorry...
As you can probably tell, I was quite taken and I think I may buy the CD soon-ish... maybe...
Now you also understand the really, REALLY BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD joke at the start :P And I still dont care how bad it was...
