Woo! the end of a very busy and (as unanimously agreed, very quick) month... Lots going on in general it seems for everyone: coursework deadlines, birthdays, parties, not-parties etc etc... Not to mention that its the best month of the year :P So without further ado...
10. LCAD Interview: (Leeds College Art and Design) Boring bit out the way first, I got in and the interview was good... well, I enjoyed it, I wasnt out to impress really just extra practice and possibly a spare place. Luckily I did get it
9. Photo Taking: there have been several excursions during the month of April, but none more successful than the the one made on the very firrst day of the month! Went over to Jack Norris' intending to photograph badgers. Using his hide and by generally being very quiet and still we managed to get really close to some rabbits and birds. This actually proved to be the highlight of the trip however, and not a single badger badger badger was seen (or an England for that matter...) Also, have just used the brilliant sunrise I caught on the same trip (we were up at 5:30am... x_x (is dead)) in my art exam. I love sunrises and sunsets on the moors...
8. Notes: Blerg! Just some really really, cool filmage here... DARK CITY!!! GO BUY/RENT IT!!!! NOW!!!! IT ROCKS!!!!!! (its directed by the same guy who did The Crow ("ah! now it makes sense!" they say :P)) Also, new Garbage album to be realeased and the Hammerfall track names on the website sound amazing! :P
7. Music: Ok ok, Here comes the obligatory music section, skip if your not interested (there's a lot of new music this month, just to warn you). In order of purchase: Editors - The Back Room, Crucified Barabara - In Distortion We Trust (not yet arrived :( ), Dio - Holy Diver (bargin! ;P), Edguy - Rocket Ride, Greatest Metal Anthems Boxset (3CDs of hard, heavy, sweaty, RAWK!! :P) Nightwish - Over the Hills and Far Away (live album), Velvet Revolver - Contraband (also not yet arrived :( ), Black Sabbath - Never Say Die, Judas Priest - Angel of Retribution
6. Tiny Gathering 1: Basically a (I'm really stuggling to think of the appropriate word... damnit! bet I still cant think of it before entry 4...) blast from the past. The HVC gang went over to Joe's for general filmic enjoyments and such (and of course a break from revision... :P break, hah!)
5. Tiny Gatering 2: Very reminiscent of the HVC era, bought back some memories :P Nah was good, this was at my house this time and I thoroughly enjoyed kicking some arse and going above and beond the call of duty I felt, I mean you try taking over Europe asia and the Aussy outback in a single afternoon, when you arent being forced... its no mean feat, I can tell you...
4. Shula's: Was grand, heheh good old Sooty! (the bear - fool on you if you didnt get that) The abundance of available guitars meant that in addition to Corpse Bride we ended up messing with instruments. This was good as it inspired me to download more tab and have a go (I can now play the Black Sabbath riff to Heaven and Hell and Boston MTAF chords). However, negative side-effects to the aforementioned guitarness were renewed obsessions with Les Pauls and copies... :S I would so love to get one... they just sound and play so... ARRRRGH! stoppit!!!!!!
3. Iron Maiden Tickets: I promise not to get to OTT about this... Ahem, During the easter break I chanced the public transport system to cross the city and purchase some passes to a rather spiffing gig of sorts wot wot! Ra ra, jolly good show, toodle-pip!
2. Birthday!: Had a great day, thank you to hazz again, got some great presents and just chilled out... So being 18 isn't really any different... but still... it would be if I werent so tall and mature looking :P and acting of course :P :P...
1. Holiday!: During the easter break, thanks to Hazzy I managed a bit of skating, bought some great CDs, went out and about with friends, earned som money working, bought the Iron Maiden Tickets finally and... generally had an awesome time. It was great and hopefully we'll be able to do it again sometime. :)
Wow! Long entry, sorry people... Believe it or not, this was a very difficult list to make... not least because there were so many possibles to include! :P Well... infact that was the only reason it was difficult to make... ner...
best of the month,

music
