So it's been awhile
I just hate feeling like I've neglected my LJ. First blog or real exposure to (at least in my opinion) what I feel was my real experience with internet communication. Not just one of the stupid chat rooms where everyone asked you "a/s/l", which sadly was one of my first chances short of email chatting and conversing via the interwebs.
Scary scary.
So things have been rather interesting (to put it lightly) over the last few months.
Was officially laid off from my job with CBT, doing tech support via call center helpdesk for their ISP. They chose (to save the company money, of course) to outsource the entire desk to the Philippines and I'm so happy to say I'd spent several of the last 6 months training my replacements :/
SO nice that they had to have us train them, too.
My son is getting ready to turn 4, getting bigger and more intelligent everyday. He wanted to talk with me about how caterpillars turned into butterflies. He already knew they did and knew that they ate leaves but wanted to know exactly how they did that.
*bogglesmind*
At the age of 3. Not even 4.
Oof.
In other news, I officially have a boyfriend again :) Wonderful guy, wonderful feeling. I hope nothing but good things come from this. It's still early on but I don't see this going anywhere but good places :D
So for the next week, I'm celebrating my birthday tomorrow (drinking at Fricker's in NCH if anyone feels like attending. Wings and cheap beer = WIN), working out some budgeting, finances, getting to see some of my good friends, and I promise I'm not dislocating my knee again this year. In addition, I'm determined to annihilate the mountain of laundry spawning before me.
*shakes fist*
So pretty much, having some fun this week, being semi-responsible for the rest and starting back at the Olive Garden some time next week.
It may not be the job I was hoping for, but it's a job as compared to none at all.
