Still alive, somewhat.
Haven't been updating much, mostly cause what I'd be writing is either bitching about money or work.
What interesting things I've been up to:
Picked up knitting. Been meaning to, but Amul finally gave me that last push to do SOMETHING that results in wearable final results. I've noticed that knitting really HAS evolved since I last dabbled in it. Mostly resulting in a lot more clothes that don't look like either granny or soccer mom interests. Working on a pair of thigh high socks currently. Finished one, but will have to redo it cause it's doing a wierd baggy knee thing, which means I have to shift where the knitting narrows down to something closer to where my knee actually IS. Next: a knit garter belt, then maybe a cute steampunk jacket/shrug kinda thing.
Work's screwed me over royally. Instead of having fri and sat off, which I've gotten for the past two years, I'm now stuck with wed and thurs off starting the first full week of May. So, Duckcon, Prather family reunion(over 4th of July weekend), and any Mother's Day type of plans are out of the question. Very dumb, since I REALLY doubt we'll be busy on ANY fri or sat for summer (barring another airline going belly up or storms). We'll see if they repeat this stupidity for Sep-Dec bid.
Joe and I are also looking at a moving date of late June to a new apt. Not sure which one yet, since we're gonna hold off looking till May.
Not much else that's new. Might post again if I think of something that's actually interesting.
