I spent the weekend in Sapporo with two other ALTs, Madison and Weronika. On Friday I was really lame and went to bed at 11:00. I woke up way earlier then everyone else. They went to bed at the same time as me but my body just wouldn't let me sleep anymore I woke up at 6:30.
On Friday I left my house at 6:15 and took the first bus, the 7:00 bus. I was the first to arrive at 9:30, then Madison at 10:30, then Weronika at 11:30.
We shopped a little while at Loft and the JR tower I prob spent 5000yen on stationary stuff which included wax for my seals. I got a silver/gray color. Those of you who get letters from me will see it soon. After that we went to the Taj Mahal and at a super late, super yummy, Indian lnch. I got the same thing I always get: Chicken Rara. It was fantastic like always. They even put eggs in the shape of a smilie face on my curry. So cute.
I ended up hitting my back on the hard booth chair. I thought it was softer. Then later on I hit my head on that same hard block of wood. It was so funny. Even the cute lady who works there was laughing.
After lunch we met up with Yukimi. She's my former student who just moved to Sapporo for college. We went shopping at Bic Camera and I bought a new Sony Cyber Shot camera (brown), with a blue case, 2 warranties, and a 1g memory stick. After that we went back to the hotel and hung out for awhile listening to music from Elementary-High School. It was so 懐かしい (nostalgic).
Our hotel room was super swank and before we got there we thought we'd either have 2 double beds or two regular beds and a cot. No, we had three spacious twin beds. The hotel staff set up an extra temporary bed in the room. The room also came with a free drink coupon and a free breakfast coupon.
We ended up doing a combini run for the last of our provisions for the night. I know it was lame for us to not party it up while in Sapporo but I'm glad we didn't because I had fun and I was tired by the time we came back to the hotel.
I got a good chance to look at Weronika's kindle. I want one even more then I did before. As soon as we send money back to America I can order it. I've already given my money to Alex I just gotta wait on him to send it.
On day two, I ended up buying some really cute basic clothes for work at Zara's. I bought a black blazer and a cream button-up, half sleep shirt. I would love to find pants. But thats not looking like a reality until I go to a big-size store. I'm not big size in my opinion so it's really hard for me to go there. Plus the clothes I have seen that are big size are made for people with big bellys I have a big butt and thighs. I need Japan to sell apple bottoms but that doesn't seem very likely since a lot of the women here have boyish shapes.
Last but not least we ate a "Spanish" resturant. (I use the word loosely) It was pretty good but I dropped molten hot magma-like cheese on my hand. It hurt so bad - I couldn't believe how bad. I had to put ice in the wet hand towel and hold it to my palm until it was time to leave. It still hurts and it started to blister and swell. I mean, how can just cheese do that?
