Arrrrr, me hearties!
So...At World's End.
Felt that I owed this movie something of a write-up, seeing as I've seen it three times, hehe.
So, let me just say that I LOVED it and think it's the best of the three. I mean, Orlando was like, acting! He even had more than his usual three facial expressions! Keira was so awesome, and sexy, and gorgeous, and shaggable, and I'm going to shut up now. And of course Johnny teh awesomeness:) Goes without saying, really.
So my fave bits:
-The cool new bits in the soundtrack, including the 'Hoist the Colours' song
-Elizabeth singing. I'm so in love with Keira
-Slightly Evil Will:) Or at least Pirate-out-for-all-he-can-get Will
-Barbossa was so much cooler in this movie
-The battle of ego's and the 'What arrrr ya doing' dialogue
-Will, all the time but especially when he's wearing a headscarf
-Jack's entrance. Again
-'My peanut.'
-Will and Elizabeth getting hitched mid-battle
-THE kiss. AKA best movie kiss ever. Sigh.
-Keith Richards' cameo
-The Parlay scene
-Elizabeths' Aragorn-type speech-
You're right. Then what shall we die for? You will listen to me- LISTEN. The Brethren will still be looking here, to us, to the Black Pearl to lead. And what will they see? Frightened bilge rats aboard a derelict ship?. No, they will see free men and freedom, and what the enemy will see is the flash of our cannons. They will hear the ring of our swords and they will know what we can do. By the sweat of our brows, and strength of our backs and the courage of our hearts: gentlemen- hoist the colours.
-Will's taking over the Dutchman scene
-The Dutchman and Pearl kicking ASS and blowing the Endeavor into little shards
And of course so many other bits that I can't think of right now. The soundtrack really blew me away, it's definitely Hans Zimmer's best work. Had it stuck in my head all week:)
Well, exams coming up in a few days, and I'm starting to get the feeling I should really study. Darn.
