Click to viewI can't decide about this song. Whilst it's doesn't have a particularly catchy tune, I like hearing it, but at the same time, the lyrics are ....
Well, it must be great to be so young and reckless. Such freedom to do as you will.
Obviously I'm not a teenager.
It is a pretty idea, to live in the moment and not worry about tomorrow kind of thing. But at the same time, when I hear the song, or see the video clip, I can't help but think that she's being so stupid, risking so much just for the one moment. I'm sure every 'teenage dream' consists of more than one moment, but however Perry sings it, it just sounds like one moment to me.
Then the next thought is 'well, they are young. So you don't have much to risk when you're young.' And then, there's everything to risk.
